It was a heartwarming moment when Will, a young boy battling bone cancer, was praying as his friend Brantley was flown to Children’s Hospital.
After Radiation, Will Did Something That Stopped Everyone in Their Tracks
After radiation today, Will should have been resting. His body was exhausted. The pain was real. Bone cancer has already asked more of him than any child should ever have to give.
Instead, Will asked one simple question that changed the entire day.
“Can we go hug Brantley’s mom?”

At the very same time Will was finishing his own treatment, his close friend Brantley was being flown to Children’s Hospital. Fear filled the air. Uncertainty pressed in. No one even knew if a visit would be possible.
But when the family reached out, Brantley’s loved ones opened their hearts — and welcomed them in.
What happened next left everyone silent.
Will, hurting and drained, walked into that room and gave what little strength he had left — not to himself, but to another family’s pain. He hugged Brantley’s mom. He stood beside her. And then he prayed.
Not for relief from his own suffering.
Not for rest.
Not for answers.

He prayed for a miracle for his friend.
He prayed for strength for Brantley’s family.
He prayed for peace in the middle of fear.
Tears fell freely. Faith filled the room.
In that moment, it became clear that cancer has not taken Will’s heart — and it never will. Even while enduring radiation, even while carrying pain that never fully lets go, Will chose compassion over comfort and love over self.
This Christmas looks nothing like anyone imagined.
There are hospital hallways instead of living rooms.
Prayers instead of plans.
Waiting instead of certainty.
But Brantley was found.
He was given another day.
And in the middle of it all, two families were reminded that faith can still rise — even when bodies are weak and hearts are heavy.

One step at a time.
One prayer at a time.
One moment of love that matters more than words.
🙏 Please join in praying for a Christmas miracle for both boys — for healing, strength, and peace for their families in the days ahead.
